Top Megabuild Schematics for DonutSMP

Castles, sky cities and floating islands, the biggest community megabuilds you can download and paste on DonutSMP today.

7 min readBy Donut Schematics Team

Megabuilds are the part of DonutSMP that turns the server from "another anarchy experience" into something worth showing off. These six schematics are the biggest, most downloaded community builds on the library, all free, all tested.

1. The Highland Castle

A 120×120 stone-and-spruce keep with curtain walls, four corner towers and a working gatehouse with a real drawbridge. Built for a hill biome but pastes flat anywhere because the foundations sit above the terrain. Around 80,000 blocks total, mostly stone bricks, deepslate and spruce planks. Comes with a pre-wired piston gate and a small interior courtyard you can fill with shops or storage.

2. Sky City "Aether"

A floating city at Y=200 with three end-stone districts connected by quartz bridges and light-blue glass spires. Originally a six-month group build, now a single click to paste. The schematic ships in three regions so you can paste one district at a time and spread the material cost across multiple play sessions.

3. Pirate Cove

A natural-looking cove with two full-rigged ships, a dockyard, a tavern, three pier shops and a smuggler's cave behind a waterfall. Drops cleanly into any ocean biome. Lots of stripped oak, dark oak and trapdoors, so chop wood before you start or it will eat your full inventory of saplings.

4. Eastern Pagoda Complex

A four-tier pagoda surrounded by gardens, a koi pond and a wooden arch bridge. Heavy use of dark oak, stripped logs, bamboo and orange terracotta. Best pasted on flat grass with a small pond already nearby so the koi pond connects to natural water. Around 35,000 blocks.

5. Steampunk Airship

A fully detailed airship with oxidised copper plating, brass rails, a captain's cabin and a small engine room. Hangs at Y=180 with no support blocks needed once placed. Works great as a roaming base because most players never look up that high, and the underside has a hidden ender chest room.

6. Underground Dwarven City

A cavern city carved into a mountain with hanging chandeliers, a forge district, a mine cart rail loop and a throne room with a beacon column. Pairs well with the Highland Castle if you want a full kingdom theme. Needs a real mountain biome to paste into, ideally with a Y range of at least 60 blocks of solid stone.

Before you paste

  • Megabuilds take real materials, check the AH cost panel before you commit.
  • Use Litematica's Easy Place mode to speed up placement by 5 to 10 times.
  • Pre-claim the area so other players can't grief mid-build.
  • Split the build over several sessions, most megabuilds take 6 to 20 hours of placing.
  • Keep a backup of the schematic file locally in case the server resets your chunk.
