Litematica on DonutSMP: Is It Allowed and How to Use It

Litematica is the mod almost every DonutSMP builder uses to copy schematics into survival. It shows a ghost outline of the build so you can place every block yourself. Here is how to set it up and use it well.

Is Litematica allowed on DonutSMP?

Litematica as a visual guide is widely used on DonutSMP, because you still place every block by hand. Automated placement features such as a printer are a different story: always check the current DonutSMP rules before using anything that places blocks for you.

Install Litematica

  1. Install the Fabric loader for your Minecraft version.
  2. Download Litematica and MaLiLib for the same version and put both in your mods folder.
  3. Launch the game with the Fabric profile and press M to open the Litematica menu.

Load a schematic

  1. Download a .litematic file from Donut Schematics.
  2. Move it into the .minecraft/schematics folder.
  3. Open the Litematica menu, choose Load Schematics and select the file.
  4. Move the placement to where you want to build and lock it in place.

Use the material list

In the placement menu open the material list to see exactly which blocks and how many you need. Gather these in shulkers before you start, it saves hours on big bases and farms.
